A positive attitude makes all the difference for Smitha Ramchandani, a salesperson with Weichert Realtors’ Morristown West Office in New Jersey. "Customer service is always my top priority" says Smitha.  “Each customer has a unique situation and I work hard to meet everyone’s individual needs.” Her positive approach and high energy has helped her close over $161 million in sales since 1997.  In 2007, she closed over $22 million in transactions.

Smitha was a successful business owner in India, her country of origin.  When she moved to the United States to be with her husband, she knew that she needed to be in a field that allowed her to use her own initiative and that would give her the freedom to advance as far as possible.  Used to working hard to get her own results, Smitha choose real estate because she wanted to dictate her own working hours and income.  Smitha said, "I wanted to have a successful career, but still have enough time to spend with my family."  Smitha has two young children, Simrin, 5 years old and Rhea, 3.5 years old.  Diligent and industrious, Smitha earned her real estate license and went to work.

Smitha has always capitalized on new advances in technology.  “I was the very first one in my area to create a personal Website, when the Internet was just taking off.”  Her extensive Website features a monthly newsletter with current market updates and industry news, neighborhood and relocation information for buyers and up-to-the minute listings. Smitha says that even though her Website has allowed her to attract more business, it hasn't changed the individual attention she gives each customer. Trustworthiness is still her greatest tool. "Customers want a salesperson they can trust and respect," she says. A dedicated professional, Smitha puts in a lot of hours.  She estimates she works an average of 50-70 hours per week.

Smitha also finds it personally rewarding to stay involved in her community.  Not only does she meet new people and network this way, but also she feels a sense of satisfaction in contributing to her neighborhood and charity organizations.  She volunteers with the American Cancer Society and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, as well as participating in the Annual Weichert Toy Drive and many Morristown Partnership Events.

No matter where she finds her customers, Smitha says honesty is the only way to keep them coming back. "When customers believe they can trust you, they'll stay loyal and recommend you to their friends and family."

Smitha believes that "The best part of her job is helping people find a home and making friends. The American dream is to own a house. and it's so rewarding to help people reach their dreams. Her business relationship with these total strangers end up as friendships. A lot of them become part of her social circle."

Pat, a Morris County Resident since 1994, is a Licensed Full Time Real Estate Agent with Weichert Realtors in Morristown. Prior to joining Weichert Realtors in 2002, Pat honed her customer-centric approach and excellent interpersonal skills in the corporate business world.  There she managed teams and projects in the publishing (McGraw-Hill) and telecommunications (AT&T/Lucent Technologies) fields.

In addition to her full-time real-estate activities, she writes grant proposals for the Court Appointed Special Advocates of Morris and Sussex Counties (CASA), a nonprofit organization advocating for the rights of abused and neglected children.  In 2004 and 2005 she served as Weichert Realtors’ Morristown West Office volunteer Team Captain for the American Cancer Society “Relay for Life” event fundraiser.  From 2001-2004 she served as a Morris County United Way volunteer team member for the “Independence for Seniors and People with Disabilities” Action Team.  She was also a volunteer from 1995-2002 with Morristown’s Community Theatre.

She holds a B.A. in Psychology from Rutgers University, Newark, NJ.



Neelu Ramchandani

Neelu, a Morris County Resident since 1994, is a Licensed Full Time Real Estate Agent with Weichert Realtors in Morristown. 

Neelu is responsible for all of Smitha's internet and print marketing and advertising. She oversees the design of marking materials, internet tours, and coordinates updates to Smitha's web sites.
